At the Rink: Ducks at Bruins

BOSTON -- Boston Bruins forward Matt Beleskey will face his former team for the first time when the Bruins play the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday at TD Garden (7 p.m. ET; TVA Sports, SNO, SNW, FS-W, NESN).

Beleskey spent his first seven NHL seasons with the Ducks, and had an NHL career-best 22 goals last season. He was one of the most coveted unrestricted free agents last summer and signed a five-year, $19 million contract with the Bruins (26-17-5) on July 1.

"It's going to be fun," Beleskey said. "Definitely one I had circled on the calendar. But this is a big two points for us heading into the [All-Star] break and we'll be ready to get those."

The Bruins have won five of their past six games (5-1-0), including a 3-2 win at the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday. Beleskey has eight goals in 46 games for the Bruins, but his contribution is measured in more than points.

"You know we’ve got some skill players but we also need some players that are going to get their noses dirty and be physical," Bruins coach Claude Julien said. "And when he's at his best that's exactly what he is. He's not afraid to go to the net, he's not afraid to finish his checks. He's gritty, gets his nose dirty and it's been a good blend for our hockey club."

At the Rink: Devils at Penguins

PITTSBURGH -- A few familiar faces will return to Consol Energy Center when the New Jersey Devils face the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday (7 p.m. ET; MSG+, ROOT).

Devils general manager Ray Shero will make his way back to Pittsburgh for the first time since being fired as Penguins GM in May 2014, and he'll be joined by several former Penguins players and employees. New Jersey coach John Hynes, who had coached Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the Penguins' American Hockey League affiliate, will step behind the Consol Energy Center bench for the first time. Also playing for the Devils will be former Penguins forwards Lee Stempniak and Bobby Farnham.

"I didn't know," Hynes said about whether he figured to ever coach the Penguins. "I think it's one of those things where you always want to be able to concentrate on the job you're in. But at that point, when you're in the American Hockey League, you have some aspirations to go to the National Hockey League. But I didn't really try to overthink it too much."

At the Rink: Blue Jackets at Canadiens

MONTREAL -- Montreal Canadiens forward Daniel Carr won't play against Columbus Blue Jackets at Bell Centre on Tuesday (7:30 p.m.; FS-O, RDS, SNE).

Carr sustained a lower-body injury after he was hit by Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin during the first period of Montreal's 5-2 loss in Columbus on Monday.

He left after the first period and Canadiens coach Michel Therrien said after the game Carr would not be available Tuesday.

Neither team held a morning skate Tuesday.

At the Rink: Canadiens at Blue Jackets

COLUMBUS – Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban is in the lineup against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday (7 p.m. ET; RDS, SNE, FS-O).

Subban was a game-time decision after missing the morning skate because of illness, but he extended his regular-season consecutive games streak to 255, the longest on Montreal; he has not missed a game since Jan. 30, 2013.

Subban, who has 33 points (three goals) and is averaging 26:03 of ice time in 48 games, has never missed a game because of injury or illness during his NHL career; the last time he missed a game was because of a contract impasse that kept him out of the first six games of the 2012-13 season. He was a healthy scratch the six other times he has missed a game since his first NHL game during the 2009-10 season.

"He's a guy first of all that keeps himself in great shape to be able to do that, play that many games in a row," Canadiens coach Michel Therrien said.

At the Rink: Sabres at Rangers

NEW YORK -- Buffalo Sabres forward Matt Moulson has done just about everything in his power this season to make rookie center Jack Eichel feel comfortable, from guiding him on the ice to putting a roof over his head off it.

Sabres coach Dan Bylsma feels it's time for Eichel to return the favor to Moulson, which is the reason why he's putting the two of them on the same line with Zemgus Girgensons against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Monday (7:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN).

Moulson, who is letting Eichel live in his house this season, has no points in his previous 18 games and no goals in his previous 35. Girgensons returns to the lineup after missing the past four games with an upper-body injury.

"[Moulson] played with Jack earlier in the year and I think offered some support to Jack and been there for Jack on that line," Bylsma said. "Now, it's time for maybe Jack to be there for Matt, a guy he is obviously very familiar with and has spent a lot of time with. I think it may be time for Jack to pull Matt out of a long drought."

At the Rink: Bruins at Flyers

PHILADELPHIA -- Boston Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask will be a game-time decision against the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday at Wells Fargo Center (7 p.m. ET; TVA Sports, NESN, CSN-PH), Bruins coach Claude Julien said.

"If he's 100 percent he's going. That hasn't been answered yet," Julien said.

Rask was expected to start for the Bruins (25-17-5) on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets but was removed from the lineup just before the puck dropped because of a lower-body injury. Rask was the backup while Jonas Gustavsson started and made 31 saves in the Bruins' 3-2 shootout victory.

At the Bruins' morning skate, Rask was a full participant and the first goaltender off the ice.

At the Rink: Flames at Stars

DALLAS -- The Dallas Stars are 4-for-33 on the power play in their past 12 games, so coach Lindy Ruff made that the focus of the morning skate Monday prior to facing the Calgary Flames at American Airlines Center (8:30 p.m. ET; SNW, FS-SW).

Dallas (30-14-5) lost 3-1 to the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday with two of Colorado's goals coming while shorthanded, something Ruff doesn't want to see repeated.

"Our attention and sense of danger wasn't good at all and obviously getting scored against twice, but our desperation, make sure that the other team, even though that I think the pain we had was self-inflicted, that we don't allow the other team to create energy off our power play," Ruff said.

At the Rink: Coyotes at Wild

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Goaltender Devan Dubnyk will make his first start in three games for the Minnesota Wild when they face the Arizona Coyotes at Xcel Energy Center on Monday (8:30 p.m. ET; FS-A, FS-WI, FS-N+).

Dubnyk backed up Darcy Kuemper in each of the past two games after losing four straight decisions. Dubnyk gave up eight goals in the span and had a .919 save percentage.

The Wild have lost four straight games on home ice and won't play here again until Feb. 9. Minnesota has lost six of its past seven games overall.

"There's a lot [of value to this game]," Wild coach Mike Yeo said. "The way things have gone lately, we can try and point to some positives with a good result tonight. Or certainly, it could steer back towards the negatives."

Coyotes goalie Louis Domingue will make his fourth straight start.

At the Rink: Red Wings at Islanders

NEW YORK -- The workload hasn't exactly been heavy for the New York Islanders in January.

When the puck drops against the Detroit Red Wings at Barclays Center on Monday (7 p.m. ET; SNO, SNP, FS-D, MSG+), it will be the Islanders' third game in the past 11 days and their finale before the All-Star break.

New York (25-15-6) was supposed to play for the second time in as many nights Saturday, but its game against the Philadelphia Flyers at Barclays Center was postponed because of a blizzard. The Islanders are 3-0-1 in their past four games following a 5-2 win at the Ottawa Senators on Friday.

"We had a little bit of time off before our last game in Ottawa and certainly we want to hit the break running, have an opportunity to get a bit of rest and heal your body," defenseman Travis Hamonic said. "It's certainly a really tough stretch and a grinding stretch to finish off the season. It goes by quick and it seems like you're playing every second day. It makes your break a lot easier when you go in having a good game."

At the Rink: Kings at Sharks

SAN JOSE -- The surging San Jose Sharks have climbed from sixth place to second in the Pacific Division over the past 15 days and cut the first-place Los Angeles Kings' lead over them in the Pacific Division from 16 points to eight.

The Sharks have a chance to pull even closer at SAP Center on Sunday when they face the shorthanded Kings, who will be without suspended top-line forward Milan Lucic (10 p.m. ET; SN, FS-W, CSN-CA).

Lucic was suspended one game without pay Sunday by the NHL's Department of Player Safety for roughing Arizona Coyotes defenseman Kevin Connauton at 6:55 of the third period of a 3-2 loss on Saturday. This is the third suspension of Lucic's NHL career.

Tanner Pearson is expected to move from the fourth line to the top line, and forward Jordan Nolan will replace Lucic in the lineup.
