5:08: McDavid has drawn a third-period power play against Frederic with a hard rush through the neutral zone led to the Boston defenceman getting called for holding against the captain. It's Edmonton's second power play.
5:40: Desharnais gets a good piece of Marchand on a hit in the neutral zone and the Boston captain is feeling it.
11:09: The Oilers double shift the top line to change up their matchups, and it almost leads to a Connor McDavid goal off an Evan Bouchard point shot.
15:34: Pavel Zacha breaks the deadlock. A quick pass up the ice by Wotherspoon sets up a two-on-one for Danton Heinen and Zacha, who beats Skinner on a quick one-timer. 1-0 Bruins.
16:41: Draisaitl takes a hard shot on goal during a three-on-two then gets taken down to the ice by Charlie McAvoy. The German looks at his right leg but appears to be fine on the bench.

SECOND PERIOD
0.0: Boston outshoots Edmonton 12-8 in the second period, but we remain scoreless. David Pastrnak picked off an Evander Kane pass late in the frame for a good look on net, but the winger made up for his mistake by not taking a penalty on the backtrack.
1:50: McDavid is hooked and held but no call, and he still manages to battle through and send a one-knee shot on Ullmark.
2:45: Warren Foegele's wrist shot goes down as Edmonton's first shot on net in over 10 minutes.
3:43: SKINNER STOPS DEBRUSK! Jake fights off Darnell Nurse after receiving a sucer pass behind the defence and tries to send it five-hole on his fellow Edmonton product, but Skinner freezes it under his right pad.
5:35: Edmonton and Boston remain scoreless past the midway mark after combining for 11 goals the last time they met at Rogers Place. It doesn't look like we'll have one of those games this time. The first goal might be the winning goal.
7:50: Leon Draisaitl makes a solid check on Brad Marchand at the top of the circle. Moments later, the ref blows down the play early before Morgan Geekie picked up a loose puck that the referee didn't see.
9:12: Another lunging save by Skinner! The Oilers netminder denies Pastrnak after the Czech forward was set up by Pavel Zacha in the left circle.
14:06: Ullmark makes a good right-shoulder save on Draisaitl, who redirected it on net with a good placement on Hyman's low pass. It came after another deflection on a Drasiaitl attempted pass forced a dangerous rebound.
14:47: Hyman gets popped with a high stick from Jesper Boqvist, so Edmonton goes to their first power play.
15:04: Edmonton's penalty kill improves to 2-for-2 tonight with that kill on Derek Ryan's tripping call.
