The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has acquired forward Jared McCann from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for forward Filip HÃ¥llander and a seventh-round selection in the 2023 NHL Draft.

McCann, 25, recorded 32 points (14 goals, 18 assists) in 43 regular season games and added an assist in six playoff games with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season. In 353 career regular season games with Pittsburgh, Florida and Vancouver, the Stratford, Ontario native has collected 155 points (66 goals, 89 assists).
McCann was originally selected in the first round (24th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
