Bergeron's late heroics: Patrice Bergeron did it all for the Boston Bruins on Monday. His third-period equalizer and shootout winner helped Boston avenge its loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs two days earlier with a 3-2 triumph on home ice.
Vintage Khabibulin: Nikolai Khabibulin turned back the clock on Tuesday in St. Louis. The 40-year-old netminder made highlight-reel stops all night long in a 43-save shutout against the Blues.
Ovi on Broadway: Alex Ovechkin had a leading role for the Capitals in their visit to Madison Square Garden on Sunday. He scored a first-period goal on a tip-in before beating Henrik Lundqvist five hole in the shootout as Washington earned a 3-2 victory.
