Doan's backhander and OT winner: Coyotes captain Shane Doan scored twice Monday against the Avalanche. In the first period, he was able to score on a wraparound and in OT, Doan secured the win for Phoenix after a lucky bounce off a pass that hit a referee.
Oshie's effort: On the penalty kill vs. Detroit, Blues forward T.J. Oshie raced out of the St. Louis zone and passed the puck while falling down to set up Patrik Berglund for a shorthanded tally.
Capitals complete comeback: Down 5-4 late in the third period vs. Florida, Washington's Alex Ovechkin wristed home the game-tying goal off a faceoff. Then, just seconds into overtime, Troy Brouwer stuffed the puck past Scott Clemmensen's right pad to ice the game.
