OHL Roundup:Max Domi's four points lead Knights to win over Otters

LONDON, Ont. - Max Domi recorded his third career hat trick as the London Knights hammered the Erie Otters 8-1 in OHL play Monday afternoon.

Domi, who has 34 goals and 41 assists in 54 games, added an assist for his first four-point outing since his OHL debut on Sept. 23, 2011.

Domi's current six-game point streak includes six goals and five assists.

Nikita Zadorov, Bo Horvat and Matt Rupert each had a goal and an assist for the Knights (41-12-4). Alex Broadhurst and Josh Anderson added singles.

J.P. Labardo scored the lone goal for Erie (17-33-8), which has dropped 11 of its past 13 games.

Anthony Stolarz made 24 saves for the Knights, who outshot Erie 18-3 in the third period and 39-25 overall. Otters starting goalie Oscar Dansk was pulled after allowing seven goals on 35 shots. Devin Williams played the final 11 minutes, allowing one goal on four shots.

London was 4-for-11 on the power play, while Erie went 1-for-6.

In other early games on Family Day it was: Belleville 3, Barrie 0; Kingston 7, Mississauga 4; Guelph 5, Kitchener 3; Owen Sound 3, Peterborough 2; Generals 6, Wolves 2; Brampton 5, Ottawa 3 and Plymouth 10, Sarnia 2. Saginaw and Windsor played in a later game.

Bulls 3, Colts 0

At Belleville, Ont., Malcolm Subban made 29 saves as the Belleville Bulls blanked the Barrie Colts in a game delayed two hours because of an accident on Highway 401. The Colts (36-18-3) were late arriving in Belleville due to the traffic backup on the highway.

Frontenacs 7, Steelheads 4

At Mississauga, Ont., rookies Roland McKeown and Sam Bennett had a goal and two assists each as Kingston (23-28-5) defeated the Steelheads (24-27-5).

Storm 5, Rangers 3

At Guelph, Ont., Zack Mitchell and Andrey Pedan each had a goal and two assists to lead the Storm (32-19-5) to a win over Kitchener (33-16-8). Guelph's Scott Kosmachuk added his 30th goal of the season.

Attack 3, Petes 2

At Peterborough, Ont., Cody Ceci scored two goals to lead Owen Sound (36-17-4) over the Petes (20-30-7). Kyle Hope added a goal and an assist for the Attack.

Generals 6, Wolves 2

At Oshawa, Ont., the Generals (33-20-4) scored three third-period goals in less than a minute to beat the Wolves (25-21-11). Defenceman Geoffrey Schemitsch scored twice for the Generals while Boone Jenner had four assists.

Battalion 5, 67's 3

At Ottawa, Barclay Goodrow scored twice to lead the Battalion (27-21-9) to a 5-3 win over the 67’s (15-38-4). Zach Bell had a goal and an assist for Brampton.

Whalers 10, Sting 2

At Sarnia, Ont., Stefan Noesen scored a hat trick as the Whalers cruised to victory. Connor Carrick and Tom Wilson helped the Whalers (32-16-9) to their sixth straight win with a goal and two assists each. Alex Basso had both goals for the Sting (32-23-3).
