KINGSTON, Ont. - Dante Salituro scored the winner in the shootout as the Ottawa 67's held on to beat the host Kingston Frontenacs 5-4 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Sean Monahan, Brett Gustavsen and Nevin Guy each had a goal and an assist for the 67's (13-33-3), who blew a 4-1 lead midway through the second period, and Sean Callaghan added a single goal.

Billy Jenkins, Samuel Schutt, Henri Ikonen and Luke Hietkamp scored for the Frontenacs (20-22-4), who are now winless in seven games.

Jacob Blair made 37 saves for Ottawa, which snapped a six-game slide. Mike Morrison started in goal for Kingston, however he was pulled after giving up four goals on 15 shots. Colin Furlong stopped all 18 shots he faced in 35 minutes of relief but took the loss after giving up Salituro's shootout winner.

Quote of the Day

I definitely think going back down helped me, I had a lot of confidence down there, I played a lot of minutes and I think that helped me a lot. With the 37 games up here, that gave me experience as well. I know what it takes to play in the NHL and now it's time for me to show that I'm capable of being a full-time NHL player.
