Jets acquire rights to goaltender Jonas Gustavsson
The Winnipeg Jets announced they have acquired the rights to goaltender Jonas Gustavsson from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a conditional seventh round draft pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

The Jonas Gustavsson era in Toronto is finished.

The Maple Leafs traded the rights to Gustvasson, slated to become a unrestricted free agent July 1, to Winnipeg for a conditional pick in the seventh round of the 2013 Draft.

Gustavsson, 27, went 17-17-4 with a 2.92 goals-against average and .902 save percentage. He also had four shutouts this season.

He is known as "The Monster," but not because of his imposing 6-foot-3 frame. The nickname originated when he played in Sweden because of the fact that nobody could beat him.

For his NHL career, Gustavsson has a 39-45-15 record in 104 NHL appearances with a 2.98 goals against average and a .900 save percentage.
