Brendan Shanahan isn't done yet. The 40-year-old veteran wing is coming back for his 22nd season after agreeing to a new contract to remain with the New Jersey Devils.

"Brendan Shanahan is an experienced veteran who can play in all situations, and accepts any role to help the team win," said Devils' President/CEO/General Manager Lou Lamoriello. "We are delighted to have him back."

Shanahan, who is the League's active leading scorer with 656 goals, should be in training camp when it opens Sept. 12. He didn't join the Devils until mid-January last season after sitting out the first half of the season unsigned.

Shanahan had 6 goals and 8 assists in 34 games last season and added a goal and 2 assists in seven playoff games.
