NHL Network's 2009 NHL All-Star coverage to feature 15-hours of live HD programming originating on location from Montreal

NEW YORK, NY - Beginning Thursday, Jan. 22, through Sunday, Jan. 25, NHL Network™ will be on location at the 2009 NHL® All-Star Celebration in Montreal to provide viewers with 15 hours of live HD* coverage from the star-studded event.  NHL Network's Brian Duff and Gary Green and contributors Dave Strader and Joe Micheletti will bring viewers inside the festivities with interviews featuring NHL players and coaches, live broadcasts from the All-Star practices and expert analysis.

On Thursday, Jan. 22, NHL Network will begin broadcasting live from inside the Lay's NHL All-Star Jamboree™ - the official NHL All-Star fan festival filled with hockey-themed attractions for fans of all ages.   Features include the simulcast of NHL Live with host Don La Greca and coaches from around the NHL discussing current topics in a show titled NHL Network Presents Live From All-Star - Coaches Roundtable.

On Friday, Jan. 23, NHL Network returns with a simulcast of NHL Live on location from the Jamboree, as well as NHL Network Presents Live From All-Star - Meet the Players, a live show originating from the All-Star Player Media Availability featuring interviews with the 2009 NHL All-Stars.

On Saturday, Jan. 24, NHL Network brings viewers inside the All-Star practices for both the Western and Eastern Conferences.  The Network also will take fans onto the red carpet for the player arrivals at the Bell Centre for the 2009 Honda/NHL SuperSkills®.  After 2009 Honda/NHL SuperSkills, NHL Network will provide a comprehensive wrap-up show titled NHL Network Presents Live From All-Star - Honda SuperSkills Post-Show featuring a re-cap of the NHL's biggest stars competing in the NHL YoungStars™ Game presented by Upper Deck, the fan-judged Scotiabank/NHL Fan Fav Breakaway Challenge™, the Bridgestone/NHL Fastest Skater™, McDonald's/NHL Accuracy Shooting™ and Cisco/NHL Hardest Shot™.

Coverage continues on gameday, Jan. 25, with live pre- and post- game coverage on NHL Network.  The NHL Network Presents Live From All-Star - All-Access Pre-Game Show is broadcast from inside the player lockerrooms and will provide a look into the players' interaction and preparation for the NHL All-Star Game.  Immediately following the game, the Network will air NHL Network Presents Live From All-Star - Post-Game Show featuring interviews, analysis and a look ahead to the second half of the 2008-09 regular-season.

On sait maintenant que trois hockeyeurs montréalais se trouveront sur la glace lors du match des étoiles, le 25 janvier prochain : Vincent Lecavalier, Jean-Sébastien Giguère et Roberto Luongo. Il faudra aussi remarquer la présence de deux officiels, tous deux également de la Métropole. En effet, l'arbitre Marc Joannette et le juge de ligne Pierre Racicot ont été sélectionnés pour arbitrer le 57e Match des étoiles.
