Nick Lappin, Reid Boucher score as Devils force Game 7 against Marlies

TORONTO - Nick Lappin and Reid Boucher both scored their fourth goals of the post-season as the Albany Devils forced a Game 7 with a 4-1 victory over the Toronto Marlies on Saturday in American Hockey League action.

The win tied the second-round series at 3-3 with Game 7 taking place on Monday night at Ricoh Coliseum. The winner will face either the Hershey Bears or Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the Eastern Conference final. That series is also tied 3-3 with a decisive Game 7 on Sunday.

Boucher and Corbin McPherson opened the scoring with goals under a minute apart in the first period for the Devils. Lappin added insurance in the second and Graham Black rounded out the attack in the third.

Kasperi Kapanen scored midway through the second period for Toronto, the affiliate of the Maple Leafs.

Scott Wedgewood made 34 saves for the win in net as Antoine Bibeau turned aside 24-of-28 shots in defeat.

Albany was scoreless on three power plays while the Marlies went 0 for 5.
