WHL Roundup: DeBrusk, Polei each score twice as Rebels take 2-1 series lead

CALGARY - Jake DeBrusk scored twice and added an assist as the Red Deer Rebels edged the Calgary Hitmen 4-3 on Sunday in Game 3 of their Western Hockey League first-round series.

Evan Polei also struck twice for Red Deer, which took a 2-1 series lead.

Jordy Stallard, Beck Malenstyn and Jakob Stukel found the back of the net for the Hitmen.

Trevor Martin made 22 saves for the win in net as Cody Porter turned aside 14 shots in defeat.

The Rebels were scoreless on three power plays while Calgary was 1 for 5.
