SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Ryan Martindale scored his first two goals on the American Hockey League season as the Syracuse Crunch downed the St. John's IceCaps 3-2 on Saturday in American Hockey league action.
Martindale also assisted on Jeff Tambellini's eventual winner for the Crunch (26-25-13), who snapped a three-game skid. Kristers Gudlevskis made 21 saves for the victory.
Gabriel Dumont and Brandon McNally found the back of the net for the IceCaps (28-26-11), who got a 36-save outing from Eddie Pasquale.
Syracuse went 0 for 4 on the power play while St. John's failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
