ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Bud Holloway set up two goals and secured the win with an empty netter as the St. John's IceCaps downed the Toronto Marlies 3-1 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.
Max Friberg and Charles Hudon also scored for the IceCaps (22-18-10), who had John Scott in the lineup for the first time since he was named NHL All-Star Game MVP.
Andrew Campbell found the back of the net for the Marlies (37-9-4), who entered on a 6-0-2 run.
Zachary Fucale made 32 saves for St. John's as Toronto's Antoine Bibeau turned away 19-of-21 shots in defeat.
The IceCaps went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Marlies failed to sore on five chances with the man advantage.
