Adams retires from NHL after 14 seasons with Carolina, Chicago and Pittsburgh

Craig Adams announced his retirement today from the National Hockey League on Tuesday after 14 seasons.

Adams played in a total of 951 career NHL games with three teams: the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The six-foot, 200-pound forward scored 55 goals and 105 assists for 160 points in his NHL career.

Adams played in 106 playoff games and his career was highlighted by Stanley Cup championships with Carolina in 2006 and Pittsburgh in 2009.
