HELSINKI - International Ice Hockey Federation president Rene Fasel says something must be done to increase ticket sales for the 2017 world junior championship in Montreal.

Fasel addressed media on the final day of the 2016 world junior championship in Helsinki.

Fasel suggests dropping ticket prices, and that Canada could include more French-speaking players on its roster to attract fans. He also says the large Bell Centre makes crowds look sparse.

Fasel says he believes that Montreal hockey fans like more than just the NHL's Canadiens.

Ticket sales for the 2015 tournament in Montreal were disappointing.
