The Ottawa Senators recalled goalie Andrew Hammond from his conditioning assignment at Binghamton of the American Hockey League on Sunday.

Hammond has been on injured reserve since Nov. 15 after taking a puck to the mask during practice. He's 2-0-2 with a 2.42 goals-against average and .930 save percentage in four games after missing the first six games of the season with a groin injury.

Hammond went 0-2-0 with a 4.05 GAA and .864 save percentage in two games in Binghamton. He made 27 saves in a 5-3 loss Saturday to Hershey. He signed a three-year, $4.05 million contract on May 20 after going 20-1-2 with a 1.79 GAA and .941 save percentage last season to help Ottawa reach the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
