Elias could make season debut for Devils: report

New Jersey Devils left wing Patrik Elias could make his season debut Wednesday when the Devils host the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Prudential Center.

Elias practiced Monday, according to Northjersey.com. The report said Elias took line rushes on the third line with forwards Jacob Josefson and Stefan Matteau. He also saw regular time while the Devils practiced their power play.

New Jersey coach John Hynes said there is a strong chance that Elias returns Wednesday, or Friday against the Montreal Canadiens.

Elias has missed the entire season with a knee injury.
