Blues' Tarasenko to return to lineup against Kings

St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko will play Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings (8:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN), Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said Monday.

Tarasenko did not play Saturday against the Minnesota Wild because of a lower-body injury. He was hurt during the second period of the Blues' game Oct. 29 against the Anaheim Ducks. He returned to finish that game.

Tarasenko leads the Blues with six goals and 10 points. At practice Monday he skated at right wing on a line with left wing Alexander Steen and center Jori Lehtera.

The Blues are missing forwards Paul Stastny (foot), Jaden Schwartz (ankle) and Patrik Berglund (shoulder), as well as defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk (lower body). The Blues have brought in veteran forwards Dainius Zubrus and Martin Havlat on professional tryouts.
