Florida Panthers forward Aleksander Barkov won't need surgery to repair the broken bone in his right hand and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks, the Miami Herald reported Monday.

Barkov sustained the injury when he was hit in the hand by a puck during a game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. He did not play against the Dallas Stars on Saturday.

In seven games this season, Barkov, 20, has three goals and six points.
