ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Sven Andrighetto and Christian Thomas each had a pair of goals and Zachary Fucale earned his first professional victory as the St. John's IceCaps downed the visiting Rochester Americans 5-2 on Friday in American Hockey League action.
Bud Holloway scored once and set up two more for the IceCaps (2-1-0) while Morgan Ellis and Charles Hudon had a pair of helpers apiece.
Jack Nevins and Dan Catenacci supplied the offence for the Americans (2-1-0), with Jason Akeson earning an assist on each goal.
Fucale stopped 31 shots for the win as Linus Ullmark kicked out 29-of-33 shots for Rochester.
St. John's went 0 for 4 on the power play while the Americans failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
