ARIZONA COYOTES

LAST SEASON: 24-50-8, 56 points. Last in Pacific Division.

COACH: Dave Tippett (seventh season, 13th NHL season).

ADDED: C Max Domi, LW Anthony Duclair, D Zbynek Michaek, C Antoine Vermette, C Boyd Gordon, LW Jordan Martinook, G Anders Lindback, D Nicklas Grossman, RW Steve Downie, RW Brad Richardson, D Stefan Elliott.

LOST: LW Lauri Korpikoski, RW Martin Erat, LW Rob Klinkhammer, D Brandon Gomley, C Sam Gagner.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Domi. The Coyotes have been reluctant to call up young players too early and took a cautious route with Domi despite calls from fans to play the dynamic centre. The 12th overall pick in the 2013 NHL draft, he gained two years of seasoning in the minors and is expected to have an immediate impact on Arizona's struggling offence.

OUTLOOK: The Coyotes could be facing another year of struggles as they take a youthful turn on their roster. Arizona figures to again be a team searching for ways to score, but Domi and Duclair could help along those lines as they progress. The Coyotes will still play the defence-first way Tippett prefers but will need goalie Mike Smith to play better than he did last season for the system to work. Arizona has been picked by most oddsmakers to be the NHL's worst team, but that could change if the young players develop quickly.
