Canucks sign Weber, Bartkowski, Bachman

The Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday signed defensemen Yannick Weber and Matt Bartkowski to one-year contracts and goaltender Richard Bachman to a two-year contract.

Financial terms were not released on any of the contracts, but TSN reported Weber will make $1.5 million and Bartkowski will make $1.75 million.

Weber had 11 goals and 21 points with the Canucks in 2014-15. Five of the goals came on the power play. The 26-year-old has 22 goals and 63 points in 229 NHL games with the Canucks and Montreal Canadiens. He also has three goals and four points in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Bartkowski, 27, had four assists and 37 penalty minutes in 47 games with the Boston Bruins in 2014-15. In 131 NHL games, all with the Bruins, Bartkowski had 24 assists and 77 penalty minutes.

Bachman, 27, went 3-2-0 with a 2.84 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in seven games with the Edmonton Oilers last season. He also had a 2.38 GAA and .918 save percentage in 23 games with the Oklahoma City Barons, the Oilers' American Hockey League affiliate.
