Greg McKegg scores twice to lead AHL Marlies in 5-2 win over Wild

DES MOINES, Iowa - Greg McKegg scored twice as the Toronto Marlies toppled the Iowa Wild 5-2 in American Hockey League action on Tuesday.

Matt Frattin had an empty-net goal and an assist for the Marlies (37-27-9), who are four points up on Milwaukee for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Byron Froese and Brendan Mikkelson also scored.

Brady Brassart and Marc Hagel supplied the offence for the Wild (23-47-4).

Toronto goaltender Christopher Gibson stopped 30 shots for the win. Iowa's John Curry made 18 saves in the losing effort.

There were no penalties called during the game.
