Ducks defenseman fined for elbowing Leafs' Booth

NEW YORK -- Anaheim Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen has been fined $3,393.82, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for elbowing Toronto Maple Leafs forward David Booth during NHL Game No. 642 in Anaheim on Wednesday, January 14, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 9:35 of the third period.

The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
