Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul will miss about a week with a lower-body injury, interim coach Peter Horachek said Wednesday.

The news was reported via Twitter by Maple Leafs writer David Alter.

Lupul, who has missed 23 games this season because of a lower-body injury and a broken hand, has nine goals and 19 points in 32 games.

The Maple Leafs recalled defenseman Petter Granberg from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. Granberg is scoreless in three NHL games this season. He has one goal and seven points in 29 games with the Marlies.

The Maple Leafs play at the New York Islanders on Thursday.
