DES MOINES, Iowa - Darren Dietz scored a tiebreaking goal at 12:58 of the third period and the Hamilton Bulldogs held on for their sixth consecutive win, 5-3 over the Iowa Wild in American Hockey League action on Saturday.
Eric Tangradi had an empty-net goal with 52 second left in regulation and added two assists to lead the Hamilton (22-17-6) offence. Drayson Bowman, Jacob de la Rose and Sahir Gill also scored.
Tyler Graovac scored shorthanded for the Wild (15-29-2), who have dropped six straight games. Zack Mitchell and Michael Keranen rounded out the attack.
Bulldogs goaltender Joey MacDonald made 28 saves for the win. Iowa's John Curry stopped 32-of-36 shots in the losing effort.
Neither team scored on the power play. Hamilton was 0 for 3 while the Wild wasted two opportunities with the man advantage.
