COLUMBUS, Ohio-- Forward Ryan Johansen of the All-Star host Columbus Blue Jackets was the first overall selection at the 2015 NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft™ presented by DraftKings, conducted at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

The 2015 NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft™ presented by DraftKings divided the All-Stars and rookies into two teams for the 2015 NHL All-Star Weekend in Columbus, Jan. 23-25: Team Foligno, led by captain Nick Foligno of the All-Star host Blue Jackets along with assistant captains Drew Doughty (Los Angeles Kings) and Patrick Kane (Chicago Blackhawks); and Team Toews, featuring captain Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks with assistant captains Ryan Getzlaf (Anaheim Ducks) and Rick Nash (New York Rangers).

Team Foligno won a 'puck toss' to select first overall, with Foligno selecting linemate and first-time All-Star Johansen, the Blue Jackets' top pick, fourth overall, in the 2010 NHL Draft. The 22-year-old Vancouver native leads Columbus in assists and points (17-26--43) in 45 games. Johansen's 13-game point streak from Dec. 18 - Jan. 17 is the longest in the NHL this season.

Team Toews chose Toronto Maple Leafs forward Phil Kessel as its first choice and the second overall pick. The Maple Leafs' scoring leader in each of his first five seasons with the club and first this season at the All-Star break with 19-25--44 in 48 games, Kessel was later traded to Team Foligno for Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin. Making his third All-Star appearance, Kessel was the last player selected in the 2011 All-Star Fantasy Draft at Raleigh.

The teams alternated drafting the remaining All-Stars through 18 rounds.

In addition, the four rookies participating in the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Skills CompetitionTM were divided into two groups of two and placed on each All-Star Team roster by captains' selections.

The finalized teams will compete in the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Skills Competition™ on Saturday, Jan. 24 (7 p.m. ET, NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports) and the 2015 Honda NHL® All-Star Game on Sunday, Jan. 25 (5 p.m. ET, NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports), both at Nationwide Arena.
