HAMILTON - Mike Condon stopped 27 shots for his first career shutout as the Hamilton Bulldogs blanked the visiting Utica Comets 3-0 on Friday in American Hockey League action.
Nick Sorkin opened the scoring for the Bulldogs (16-14-6) at 15:29 of the first period and Maxime Macenauer doubled his club's lead 14 minutes into the third.
Jacob de la Rose added an empty-net goal for Hamilton while Daniel Carr and Gabriel Dumont each tacked on two assists.
Joacim Eriksson kicked out 30-of-32 shots for the Comets (22-8-5), who sit atop the North Division standings.
The Bulldogs went 0 for 3 on the power play while Utica failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
