Blue Jackets' Goloubef off IR, Rychel sent to AHL

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated defenseman Cody Goloubef off Injured Reserve and loaned him to the American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons on a conditioning assignment, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. The club also has assigned left wing Kerby Rychel to Springfield.

Goloubef, 24, collected two penalty minutes in three games this season with the Blue Jackets before suffering a knee injury on November 1 at New Jersey. The Oakville, Ontario native was Columbus' second pick, 37th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft and played in five games with the Blue Jackets in 2013-14, while adding 7-21-28 with 98 penalty minutes with Springfield in 2013-14. He has 18-52-70 and 232 penalty minutes in 198 career AHL games with the Falcons.
