Islanders' Lee fined for elbowing Blues' Gunnarsson

NEW YORK -- New York Islanders forward Anders Lee has been fined $2,286.29, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for elbowing St. Louis Blues defenseman Carl Gunnarsson during NHL Game No. 397 at Nassau Coliseum on Saturday, December 6, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 7:15 of the second period.

The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
