MONTREAL - Fans may attend Jean Beliveau's public viewing at the Bell Centre, the home of the Montreal Canadiens, starting Sunday morning.

The arena will be open between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. local time on Sunday and Monday for the public to pay their respects to the hockey legend.

Beliveau was the longtime captain of the Canadiens through the 1950s and 1960s before retiring in 1971. He then became an executive with the team and holds the record for most Stanley Cups won by a single person with 10 as a player and seven as part of Montreal's front office.

He died on Dec. 2 in Longeuil, Que., a suburb of Montreal.

Beliveau's funeral will be held at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
