Brown has go-ahead goal in Toronto Marlies 3-2 win over San Antonio Rampage

SAN ANTONIO - Connor Brown had the go-ahead goal at 5:41 of the third period as the Toronto Marlies edged the San Antonio Rampage 3-2 on Friday in American Hockey League action.

Captain Trevor Smith and Tom Nilsson also scored for the Marlies (5-5-0).

Shane O'Brien opened the scoring for San Antonio (5-6-0) with a power-play goal in the first period. Andrew Yogan rounded out the attack.

Christopher Gibson turned aside 40 shots in net for Toronto while Dan Ellis made 23 saves for the Rampage.

Both teams scored once on five power-play chances.
