Carcillo agrees to one-year contract with Blackhawks

Forward Daniel Carcillo has agreed to a one-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks, the team said Saturday. No other terms were disclosed, but Sportsnet reports it's a one-way contract worth $550,000.

Carcillo, 29, joined the Blackhawks on Friday, one day after being released by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was attending training camp with the Penguins on a professional tryout.

Carcillo had four goals and 14 points for the Blackhawks from 2011-13 and contributed one assist in four games during Chicago's run to the Stanley Cup in 2013. He split the 2013-14 season between the Los Angeles Kings and New York Rangers, finishing with four goals, five points and 100 penalty minutes in 57 games. He scored two goals in eight Stanley Cup Playoff games for the Rangers.

Carcillo has 44 goals, 92 points and 1,179 penalty minutes in 390 NHL games with the Arizona Coyotes (2006-09), Philadelphia Flyers (2009-11), Chicago (2011-13), Los Angeles (2013-14) and the Rangers (2013-14). He has seven goals, 14 points and 97 penalty minutes in 45 playoff games.
