Goaltender Curry signs one-year contract with Wild

Goaltender John Curry and the Minnesota Wild agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Thursday. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Curry, 30, was 7-9-2 with a 2.62 goals-against average, .930 save percentage and one shutout in 19 games last season with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.

Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2007, Curry appeared in two games with the Wild. In his only start of 2013-14, he made 43 saves in a 4-2 win against the St. Louis Blues on April 10.

In six NHL games with the Penguins and Wild, the Minnesota native has a 3-2-0 record with a 3.55 goals-against average and .893 save percentage.
