Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick underwent surgery this week to repair a wrist injury and will be out 10-12 weeks.

A Kings spokesman confirmed the surgery, though he did not say which wrist was operated on. He said the injury occurred during the Western Conference Second Round series against the Anaheim Ducks, which Los Angeles won in seven games on the way to its second Stanley Cup championship in three seasons.

Quick started all 26 Kings games in the playoffs, which ended with a five-game victory against the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup Final.

The spokesman said surgery was suggested for after the season and the operation was not an emergency procedure.

Quick was 16-10 during the playoffs with a 2.58 goals-against average and .911 save percentage.
