KINGSTON, Ont. - The Kingston Frontenacs have signed general manager Doug Gilmour and assistant GM Darren Keily to multi-year contract extensions, but they won't renew the contracts of head coach Todd Gill and assistant coach Jeff Reid.

Gilmour, who played 21 seasons in the NHL for seven different teams, joined the Frontenacs as head coach in 2008 and became general manager in 2011.

He stepped away from his job as head coach and hired Gill, a former NHL defenceman and Toronto Maple Leafs teammate, as his replacement in 2011.

"Although we aren't renewing assistant coach Jeff Reid's contract at this time, we will encourage our new head coach to give Jeff serious consideration when hiring his assistant coach," Gilmour said Monday in a statement posted on the team's website.

"We're going to take our time and review all potential candidates, but we don't expect this to be a long process."

The Frontenacs finished third in the Eastern Conference this past season with a 39-23-3-3 record. Kingston lost in the first round of playoffs in seven games to the Peterborough Petes.
