As Fleury's backup last season Vokoun went 13-4-3 in 20 regular-season games, and then replaced Fleury during the Penguins' first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series against the New York Islanders. In 11 playoff games he went 6-5 with a 2.01 GAA and .933 save percentage.
