Jets recall three players from IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets on Sunday recalled defensemen Ben Chiarot and Zach Redmond, and goalie Michael Hutchinson from the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

In 63 games with the IceCaps, Chiarot, 22, has 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) and 85 penalty minutes. He was a fourth-round selection (No. 120) of the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2009 NHL Draft and appeared in a game with the Jets against the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 2, 2013.

Redmond, 25, has 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 37 games for St. John's and has played in 11 games with Winnipeg. He was the Thrashers' seventh-round pick (No. 184) in the 2008 draft.

Hutchinson, 24, is 15-5-1 with a 2.33 goals-against average and .923 save percentage in 22 games with the IceCaps. He also played 28 games with the Ontario Reign of the ECHL, where he was twice named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week. Hutchinson was taken by the Boston Bruins in the third round (No. 77) of the 2008 draft.
