UTICA, N.Y. - Brett Olson scored twice and Ben Street had a goal and two assists as the Abbotsford Heat crushed the host Utica Comets 7-2 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.
Zachery Davies, Josh Jooris, Jordan Kremyr and Shane O'Brien also scored for the Heat (37-24-7), who were powered by a five-goal second period. Joni Ortio made 32 saves for the win.
Jeremy Welsh and Alex Biega supplied the scoring for the Comets (29-29-8). Alex Friesen assisted on both goals.
Joacim Eriksson started in net for Utica, but was pulled after allowing five goals on 24 shots. Joe Cannata stopped 12-of-14 shots in 29 minutes of relief.
Abbotsford went 1 for 4 on the power play while the Comets failed to score on two chances with the man advantage.
