Predators recall Forsberg from Milwaukee

The Nashville Predators recalled forward Filip Forsberg from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League on Sunday in advance of their game against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center.

Forsberg, 19, has five points (one goal, four assists) in 12 games with Nashville and 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists) in 37 games with Milwaukee. The native of Ostervala, Sweden was named the MVP and top forward after helping his country win a silver medal at the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship. Forsberg had four goals and eight assists in seven games to win his third straight medal at the tournament.

A first-round pick of the Washington Capitals in the 2012 NHL Draft (No. 11), the Predators acquired him in a trade before the 2013 NHL Trade Deadline for Martin Erat and Michael Latta.
