New York Islanders forward Kyle Okposo and defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky are day-to-day with injuries, according to coach Jack Capuano.

Okposo left practice early Friday with a lower-body injury. Okposo is tied for sixth in the NHL with 69 points and leads the Islanders in points and goals (27) in 69 games. Okposo is the first player other than John Tavares to lead the Islanders in scoring since the 2008-09 season.

Okposo has missed one game this season, Jan. 6 against the Dallas Stars so he could witness the birth of his daughter.

Visnovsky, who has an upper-body injury according to Newsday, has three goals and eight assists in 24 games. He missed more than three months with a concussion sustained Oct. 19.

The Islanders next play March 23, at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
