NEWARK, N.J. -- Boston Bruins right wing Jarome Iginla scored his 556th NHL goal Tuesday, in the second period against the New Jersey Devils, to tie Bruins legend Johnny Bucyk for 25th on the all-time list.

Iginla scored his team-leading 26th of the season off assists by David Krejci and Torey Krug at 2:22. After taking a lead pass from Krejci, Iginla skated into the right circle and drove a wrist shot that deflected off of Devils goalie Martin Brodeur and over the goal line.

Iginla, 36, trails No. 24 Guy Lafleur by four goals. He is five short of No. 23 Mike Modano (561) and eight away from No. 21 Joe Nieuwendyk (564) and Mats Sundin (564).

In 1,301 NHL games, Iginla has 556 goals and 606 assists for 1,162 points.
