The Edmonton Oilers have called up defenseman Oscar Klefbom and forward Anton Lander from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Barons.

Klefbom could make his NHL debut when the Oilers play host to the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday. A first-round pick (No. 19) in the 2011 NHL Draft, Klefbom got the call after veteran defenseman Jeff Petry left Edmonton's 3-2 overtime win Thursday night against the New York Islanders with a back injury. Another defenseman, Anton Belov, has a torn oblique muscle that is expected to keep him out of the lineup for at least two more weeks.

In 45 games with the Barons this season, Klefbom has one goal and nine points.

Lander has already played in 12 games with the Oilers this season, registering no points and a minus-three rating. He was Edmonton's second-round pick (No. 40) in the 2009 draft. In 41 games with the Barons this season, he has 17 goals and 44 points.
