The Florida Panthers agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with forward Brad Boyes, general manager Dale Tallon confirmed Tuesday night.

Boyes leads the Panthers with 17 goals and is tied for second with 28 points.

"We are pleased to have Brad back for the next two seasons," Tallon said. "He has played an important role in our club's offense this year, leading our team in goals, while also performing well in shootouts. We look forward to his continued contributions to our organization."

A first-round pick (No. 24) of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2000 NHL Draft, the 31-year-old has career totals of 185 goals and 435 points in 665 games for the San Jose Sharks, Boston Bruins, St. Louis Blues, Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders and Panthers.
