QMJHL Roundup: Cadorette makes 40 saves as Drakkar hammer Armada 6-1

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. - Philippe Cadorette was spectacular with 40 saves as the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League-leading Baie-Comeau Drakkar crushed the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 6-1 on Tuesday.

Maxime St-Cyr scored twice and Jeremy Gregoire, Bokondji Imama, Felix Girard and Denis Gorbunov added singles for the Drakkar (42-15-4), who moved five points ahead of the second-place Armada.

Nikita Jevpalovs broke up Cadorette's shutout bid with a power-play goal in the third period for the Armada (37-14-9), who have lost four straight.

Etienne Marcoux allowed five goals on 32 shots before being pulled from the Armada's net. Tyler Whiffen took over and gave up a goal on nine shots.

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Drummondville's Georgs Golovkovs scored with just over a minute left in regulation to sink the Huskies.

Golovkovs' goal was his second of the game, while Christophe Lalancette and Charles-David Beaudoin also had goals for the Voltigeurs (36-20-4).

Francis Beauvillier, Mathieu Lemay and Jack Nevins had a goal apiece for Rouyn-Noranda (33-22-5).

Louis-Philip Guindon finished with 27 saves for the Voltigeurs, while Alexandre Belanger stopped 20 shots at the other end of the ice.
