The Edmonton Oilers recalled goalie Ilya Bryzgalov from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League on Sunday. The Oilers play Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Rexall Place, where Bryzgalov could make his first start against former Philadelphia Flyers teammate Sergei Bobrovsky.

Bryzgalov signed a one-year $2 million contract this past Friday. He reported to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League and went 1-1 with a 3.03 goals-against average and.880 save percentage. He stopped 25 shots Saturday in the Barons' 4-1 win against the Abbotsford Heat.

Bryzgalov is 208-149-45 with a 2.55 GAA and a .913 save percentage in 425 career NHL games. The Flyers bought out the remaining seven years of nine-year, $51 million contract he signed in 2001 this past summer.
