Elias, Gionta back at practice for Devils

New Jersey Devils forwards Patrik Elias and Stephen Gionta returned to practice Thursday with the intention of playing against the Los Angeles Kings at Prudential Center on Friday.

Tom Gulitti of The (Bergen) Record reported the news via his Twitter account.

Elias has missed the past six games with an upper-body injury and Gionta has missed the past two games with a sore foot. With Elias and Gionta back, The Record reported that Mattias Tedenby and Jacob Josefson were the extra forwards at practice.

Defenseman Anton Volchenkov, who pulled a leg muscle in the first period in a win against the New York Rangers on Tuesday, did not practice on Thursday.
