EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - Kings goalie Jonathan Quick has returned to Los Angeles for evaluation of an undisclosed injury.

Quick travelled back to Los Angeles on Wednesday after getting hurt in a shootout loss at Buffalo, forcing the club to shuffle its roster during an East Coast road trip.

The Kings recalled goalie Martin Jones and forward Tanner Pearson from their AHL affiliate in Manchester. They also put defenceman Matt Greene and forward Kyle Clifford on injured reserve.

Quick is 10-5 with a 2.35 goals-against average while appearing in 16 of the Kings' 18 games.

Ben Scrivens is expected to start in goal when the Kings visit the New York Islanders on Thursday.

Greene and Clifford join Jeff Carter and Jarret Stoll on the Kings' list of injured players, although Stoll should return soon.
