Flyers send leading scorer McGinn to AHL

Tye McGinn, the Philadelphia Flyers' leading goal-scorer, was sent to the team's American Hockey League affiliate on Friday.

McGinn has a team-best three goals in four games, but the move was needed to clear space for the expected return of forward Scott Hartnell.

Hartnell is on injured reserve due to an upper-body injury sustained during a game Oct. 11 against the Phoenix Coyotes. He has missed the past four games, but it's likely he'll be in the lineup when the Flyers play at the New York Islanders on Saturday.

In five games this season Hartnell has no points, six shots on goal and a minus-2 rating.
